Quoting Specialist key responsibilities:
The Quoting Specialist is a support and marketing position for life, annuity, disability and long term care insurance.
Much of the work is focused on the use of technology to produce results, thus the appropriate candidate should be very familiar with Microsoft Office, database utilization, and have the ability to autonomously find information on carrier websites. Large volumes of HIPAA protected information require professionalism and confidentiality. Fast paced environment requires that requests are responded to within four business hours. The ideal candidate will proactively follow-up on returned quotes to help close sales and contact agents for additional sales opportunities. The position requires a pleasant personality with excellent verbal and written communication skills which are necessary while working with the brokerage community, carrier staff, internal agency marketing and co-workers. Ongoing professional development required to stay abreast of industry and product changes. Creative problem solving will be utilized on new and unique challenges on a daily basis.
